As we look forward to celebrating the holidays this December, the CJ Charles family has quite a lot to be thankful for this last year. Business has been strong, as evidenced in the strength in the demand for our luxury timepieces, Riviera Jewelry and the important estate jewelry collection. Several of our VIP clients purchased three or more timepieces as company gifts or ones for family and friends by Audemars Piguet, including a variety of models from both the Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore collections, as well as models from A. Lange & Sohne, including their Lange 1 Time Zone, Lange 1 Moonphase, and their Grand Lange Saxonia Automatik. This is great news on two levels 1.) We are blessed to have the loyalty of our Clientele 2.) Also a reiteration that the luxury watch and fine Jewelry industry is very strong, indicating growing demand for quality. In the pursuit to replenish our stock, some of our brands such as Audemars Piguet sold out of many of their models worldwide and for A. Lange & Sohne, there were only 3 timepieces left in the company headquarters altogether. This is promising news for the luxury timepiece industry and a sign that quality watches are very sound investments.
Our exclusive annual Panerai party was a success, with over fifty vip guests in attendance who were collectors and enthusiasts of the luxury watch maker. The event was held in the Sky Room of the beautiful and historic La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla and provided the opportunity for fans of the brand to try on the latest models for 2011. Some of the favorites included the PAM00312, PAM00359, PAM00351, and PAM00289 in rose gold. However, the winner of the evening by far was the PAM00339 or Radiomir Composite Marina Militare, with its chocolate brown dial, composite case and calf skin band and Panerai's in-house movement.
We continue to create timeless and unique pieces to add to our Riviera Jewelry line as well as perform custom work for those who have specific requests. In the spotlight last month were a number of notable investment grade diamonds purchased for custom pieces by some of our discerning clients.
